The problem is that you can only use Security Essentials on a home PC; the license agreement prohibits use in a business . It won't work on a server operating system, even if you chose to ignore the license.

I have switched from AVG to Microsoft Security essentials. Less impact on system speed and also free.

As soon as I installed the 9.0 update a couple days ago, my surfing speed annoyingly sloooooooowed down. Others have also reported this problem; possibly related to the LinkScanner module.

I'm taking it as a sign that it might be time to try Avast! antivirus program.

AVG Antivirus good option, and free is fsntastic.
