Elitist

Another product that I forgot to mention in my newsletter but was very much there at CDA was the new Schick CDR Elite sensor. The design is very much like their Pluswire sensors with the detachable cable but everything is now color coded. The images that I saw from the new sensor are quite good. Schick has always had one of the best return policies in the business.

I agree that the return policy is great, however, I question the actual value of the product. What I mean by value is, for instance, if I can by a Sirona sensor warranty plan for 995 one time cost, what is the comparison with the Schick product. I have a endodontist friend who recently purchased a Schick sensor and told me he is paying more than that on an annual basis. Does anyone know if that is actually true? In my opinion, the Sirona images I saw at the TDA were just as good as what I saw from Schick, so if the image quality is similar, and the warranty is higher, what is the advantage of the Schick product?

Schick warranty stinks! Here is the real deal.

    Bought a 1 and 2 new practice
year 1- #2 cable goes bad
Year 2- I actually BETA test the PlusWire for Schick
Year 3.5 - sensor #1 wire goes out, and #2 is inconsistant

Patterson says you can buy a PlusWire or 1/2 off retail at $5K each. OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!! I haven't paid off my first senor purchase yet!!!!!!!!!!!
