Anti-Matter
I've been recommending Grisoft's AVG for a long time...the network version for office and the free version for home. Recently, I tried to upgrade to the free 8.0 version and simply couldn't get it to run properly. So, I downloaded and tried AntiVir, another free program, and I have to tell you...it's great. Simple to use, fast, and it even found a virus in my Temporary Internet Files that AVG had missed. Highly recommended.

The only thing with AntiVir is that it tends to bring up a few false positives. Not always a bad thing, just annoying, i use NOD32 myself, but still Antivir does the job as well.
