Next to the MagnaVu (see my earlier post), the other product that impressed me the most was DentForms by MedicTalk. With the exception of Eaglesoft, no other major practice management software has the ability to easily incorporate medical history forms, HIPAA forms, and other documents into the patient's digital record. Most require using a paper document and then scanning it into the record, which can be time consuming and challenging for an office that is chartless. Enter DentForms. The software bridges with all the major PMS programs and when combined with an inexpensive signature pad ($100), allows you to capture digital signatures for these documents, link the documents for easy review to the patient record, and store and organize these documents. The software can use your existing forms or you can use their templates to easily create your own.
